You will hear that you can save time and trouble by parking inside Carambola and hiking from there. The baths are small and you don't want to snorkel in the ocean right there. If you go, please note that your feet will get wet when you get there (take a change of shoes or wear sandals), the footing near the baths is tricky and sort of dangerous for the non-athletic, and there is really no reason to carry snorkel gear. There are great views everywhere on the island. The view of the sea from near the baths is nice. True, the waves crashing over the barrier rocks is impressive, but the pools themselves are no big deal. I carried a snorkel mask for basically nothing.
